Dear Mr. Phearum,

On behalf of The World Justice Project (WJP), we would like to express our sincere appreciation for your contribution to the WJP Rule of Law Index 2011®report. The Index garnered major media coverage around the world and has been positively received by many constituents in placing rule of law dimensions at the center of the policy arena and civil society.

I would like to invite you to once again participate as an expert respondent in the World Justice Project’s Rule of Law Index® 2012 report. This year, we are expanding global coverage of the Index to 90 countries. We would be most grateful if you would be willing to contribute your time and expertise to the WJP Rule of Law Index® 2012 report by completing the Constitutional Law, Civil Liberties, and Criminal Law questionnaire.

We will be sending you an email containing a link to the English version of the questionnaire, made available online for your convenience, at the beginning of next week. The questionnaire is also available in Spanish and French for your convenience. If you have not received this email by July 24, please check your ‘Junk/Bulk’ folder, as it may have been re-directed by a network firewall. We can also email you the questionnaire in Word or PDF format, or fax it, if you prefer.

Finally, if you have any professional contacts that may be interested in contributing to this year’s Index, we welcome referrals. Finding qualified respondents is one of the most difficult tasks in constructing the Index, and each expert strengthens the accuracy and depth of our measurements.

We greatly appreciate your continued support and advice. If you have any comments or questions about this report, please do not hesitate to contact my colleague, Christine Pratt at ruleoflawindex@wjpnet.org.

Sincerely,

Juan Carlos Botero
Executive Director
The World Justice Project
