#10 to Free the 15!
With lotus flowers and balloons, some 100 people gathered at the Buddhist shrine on riverside this morning to call for the immediate and unconditional release of the 13 Boeung Kak activists remaining in Prey Sar jail. Holding pictures of the Queen Mother, whose birthday is marked today with a national holiday, children of the jailed activists sang the Cambodian national anthem. Balloons bearing “Free the 15!” messages were released, as undercover police monitored the action and took pictures of key participants.
