Some 80 Boeung Kak villagers gathered outside the Appeal Court this morning for a peaceful demonstration to ask the Court for justice when their 13 neighbours are heard on June 27. The demonstrators held signs saying “Children need their mothers” and “Free the 15 Now” in Khmer and English and freed birds as a symbol of freedom and justice. The group then walked to the Buddhist shrine by the Royal Palace, where they lotus flowers, the symbol of the campaign. Some undercover and military monitored the action.
