Action #12 to Free the 15!
Around 80 Boeung Kak residents and friends of the jailed 13 representatives gathered at the Ministry of Justice this morning to call for a fair trial at the appeal court on Wednesday June 27. Holding lotus flowers and signs demanding the release of their mothers, children of the detained sang songs while three representatives entered the ministry to submit a petition letter. The group later walked around the ministry to the Appeal Court where they continued singing.
Undercover police and Khan Daun Penh Deputy Governor Sok Peng Vuth monitored the action, but no problems were reported.
