On behalf of the executive team and supporters of the Sam Rainsy Party of North America (SRP-NA) we wish to extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Chhut Vuthy. We call for the Royal Government of Cambodia and all concerned international community and agencies to properly investigated the truth into this high-profile-case killing, given the Cambodian authority continues to seemingly fabricate and concealing the truth, the actual truth of the killing.
Mr. Chhut Vuthy has been a true Champion to the cause of Cambodian Environmental Protection. He has given his life to protecting Cambodia's remaining Amazon, Prey Lang, Cardamom. The Cambodian democrats and freedom loving people in North America are sadden by the lost their hero. However, his leadership and relentless efforts in preserving our national treasure will be carried on and shall not be forgotten in vain.
We condemn in the strongest term possible for the continuation of police brutality and violations of human rights in Cambodia. Clearly, this new killing highlights the need for the country to look closely into its overall judicial system, the inter-connected and yet corrupted business practices of tycoons and related government officials and their relatives. Without an Independent Office of the Prosecution or the like to ensure the functioning of the law, Cambodia will continue to face these challenges for many many decades to come.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the surviving family of Mr. Chhut. They deserve to hear the truth, not constant changing of the stories. The whole nation wanted to hear the truth and the Royal Cambodian Government has that obligation under oath, yet unable to deliver up to now.

COMFREL Condolence and Statement in Response to Killing of Cambodian Forest Protector Chut Wutty
Committee for Free and Fair Elections in Cambodia (COMFREL) are shocked and condolence to the family of Mr. Chut Wutty, Director of environmental watchdog Natural Resource Protection Group (NPRG) in Cambodia who was killed on April 26, 2012 during his mission at Koh Kong province.
This is a creation of fear environment on pre-election campaign should effects among activisms working on political, human rights, social and environment issues.
We demand and encourage the government to implementing all necessary measure for comprehensive investigation and find justice for his family.
