Dear partners,

Belated international new year greetings and best wishes for the chinese new year! I am pleased to inform you that at the end of 2011 the OHCHR Land and Housing Rights Unit welcomed 2 new colleagues, Bophal Keat and Vineath Chou. With additional resources, the division of work on the team will be loosely based around the following responsibilities:


Ms. Bophal KEAT-- ELCs/land grabbing in protected areas, resettlement/relocation, business and human rights (bophal.keat@ohchr.org; 078 900 726)

Mr. Karona EAN (Lumning) -- indigenous issues/land registration, land disputes (mostly rural, including ELCs, some urban) (kean@ohchr.org; 012 563 858)

Ms. Vineath CHOU -- urban housing, circular 03 (vchou@ohchr.org; 012 818 280)

Mr. Piseth NOV -- circular 03, urban housing, business and human rights/environment (pnov@ohchr.org; 012 308 904)


I will continue to play a general coordinating role. As there are obvious overlaps in the categories above, we will all contribute as needed.
